The Smittcamp Family Honors College directly impacts social mobility and economic vitality in the Central Valley. Young scholars who might otherwise attend universities outside of the area are attracted to the Honors College, and over 60 percent of Honors College alumni — like Susana — remain in the Central Valley after graduation to serve their home communities.
