In addition to being President’s Honors Scholars, our scholars are involved in over 50 on-campus clubs!

Clubs are a great opportunity to meet other students, create connections within your major, and define and shape your career goals while developing leadership and professional skills.

Art of Life Cancer Foundation Club:
Guided by the principles of Art of Life Cancer Foundation, Art of Life Cancer Foundation Club members volunteer at Art of Life events hosted by the Art of Life Cancer Foundation. The Art of Life Cancer Foundation Club also works with the Art of Life Cancer Foundation to provide a network of support and programs for cancer survivors and those impacted by cancer through creative expression.

Hmong Student Association (HmSA):

HmSA has six main goals: 1.) promote educational, moral, and ethical standards for themselves and future generations, 2.) promote leadership, self-determination, self-esteem, and friendship, 3.) assist Hmong students in adjusting to University life, 4.) work in coordination with other campus organizations, 5.) promote the understanding of the Hmong culture on campus and the community through the use of cultural events and educational workshops, and 6.) be involved in the community through volunteer and outreach services.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE):

​For more than six decades, SWE has given women engineers a unique place and voice in the engineering industry. SWE is centered around a passion for its members' success and continues to evolve with the challenges and opportunities reflected in today's exciting engineering and technology specialties.

CRU:

CRU is a caring community passionate about connecting students to Jesus Christ and fostering an environment that allows them to grow with one another in the pursuit of Christ. Their mission is to turn lost students and faculty into lifelong Christ-centered multiplying disciples.

National Student Speech/Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA):

Fresno State NSSLHA is a student-led organization at California State University, Fresno that is affiliated with the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA). Membership mainly consists of students in the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology programs within the Communicative Disorders and Deaf Studies department. Fresno State NSSLHA became a nationally recognized local chapter of NSSLHA during the Spring 2013 semester. The club’s mission is to provide the opportunities, information, and connections necessary to facilitate the development of professional, well-rounded, and responsible speech and hearing science students who are better prepared for careers in the field after graduation.

“Fresno State NSSLHA is a club for majors within the Department of Communicative Sciences and Deaf Studies. This club offers many opportunities to its members every semester, including but not limited to volunteering events that benefit the greater Fresno area, seminars presented by faculty and related-field speakers, social events throughout the semester, tours of local medical and clinical facilities, individualized on and off campus volunteering opportunities, and connections to local people and organizations involved in the Speech and Hearing sciences.”

Camp Kesem:

Kesem at Fresno State was founded in 2015 and supports children in the Central Valley community by providing a week-long summer camp experience and year-long peer support to children whose parents have been diagnosed with cancer. Kesem at Fresno State is operated by 25 student volunteers and serves 25 campers ages 6-18 per year.

“Kesem is an organization dedicated to providing support for children through and beyond their parent's cancer diagnosis. We do this through providing year-round activities and resources for them and their families.”
