Julie Logan Lindahl is a Fresno State alumna currently serving as the General Manager for Fresno State Radio (KFSR and FSR Underground). She graduated with her B.A. in Radio and Television Broadcasting and has led a successful career in radio for 45 years, both in Fresno and Sacramento.

Recently, Julie completed directing a major broadcast infrastructure upgrade project for KFSR that replaced the station’s aging broadcast tower, antenna and transmitter with new, state-of-the-art equipment. In addition to infrastructure updates, the station increased its broadcast power from 2600 to 4500 watts, significantly boosting its signal saturation within its licensed broadcast service area.

Julie’s life has been closely affected by the Smittcamp Family Honors College. Her son, Jacob, entered the program in Fall 2021 and recently graduated with his B.S. in Civil Engineering. Each year, she and her husband, Brett, have participated in Fresno State’s Day of Giving as challenge donors for the SFHC, providing leadership gifts to help motivate other alumni, parents, and friends to give.

“The Smittcamp Family Honors College at Fresno State is recognized as one of the top programs of its kind in the Western United States, and it is a true blessing to our university, our region, our state, and beyond. The college is outstanding on every level, and the education, experience, and support its students receive are truly transformative. For more than 25 years, the SFHC has produced some of the Valley’s most accomplished graduates.

“Our son Jacob is a third-generation Fresno State student and is now a proud graduate of the Smittcamp Family Honors College. His time as a “Smitty” was everything he had hoped for—and more. He thrived in the specialized cohort environment, from the curated honors courses to the fulfilling community service projects and exceptional leadership opportunities. His undergraduate experiences have prepared him to excel in the future and make a meaningful impact on the world.

“My family and I are grateful to the SFHC for so many reasons and are proud to be donors to the college. We encourage everyone to support this outstanding program at Fresno State.”
