Participated in the Latinx Center of Excellence’s Aspiring Physicians Program, a 4 week medical program that teaches hands-on medical techniques and skills, such as suturing.

Received the ACS Outstanding Undergraduate Poster Presentation award at the 2024 Central California Research Symposium.
Benjamin Awad, rising senior, B.S. Physics
Presented his research poster, “Microdistribution of major and trace elements in baby teeth slices using a microbeam 2D XRF raster scanning technique" at the UCLA Summer Symposium, Fresno State End of Summer Poster Research Session, Cal-Bridge Conference, APS Far West Section, and SACNAS NDiSTEM 2023.
Received the 2023 National Diversity in STEM Conference Presentation Award at SACNAS NDiSTEM 2023.
